Here I am with another creative recycling project! Some weeks ago I broke my (brand new) cake spatula but, hey, you know I dont' want to waste anything... so I've started to think at what I could do with it and... ta-dà! Let's introduce new my new tea light (or succulents jar) holder!
I began reattaching the pieces (the handle was detached from the rest)with my hot glue gun. To give more interest and fix it more I've also wrapped a rope thread all around the handle.
At this point I've started to choose some random recycled items: tune tin, studs, flowers, jute, crown capcarboard and I've created a composition gluing down them as well.
It was now time for a coat of White Gesso to prime everything and, than I've started to build my beloved stain look with Pebeo watercolors.

And here we are! Final touches were to stamp my name with Stazon Jet Black and do some splashes with black acrylic paint.
