Pinkish & hexagonal wooden box

Here I am after a looong time! I hope you're all well and healthy;  this period is putting us all to the test... But let's not lose hope that it will end as soon as possible!!!

So, let's begin! 

As you may know, I love wooden objects, both as a base for pyrography and for my mixed-media projects ... So I decided to alter this hexagonal box!

As a first step I applied a coat of transparent gesso to make my surface perfect for all the mediums I would use later.

As there is a floral motif in the lid of the box, I decided to punch some leaves with the kraft cardboard to glue inside, on the bottom, and to seal them too with transparent gesso.

Once the gesso dried with the heat gun I started playing with the acrylic inks to get a stain effect and, in addition to these, I also used liquid watercolors (always in muted tones).

After everything was perfectly dry, I chose a stencil with a circular pattern and applied a crackle paste in red gold tones

To merge the composition I've decided to apply a coat of cracklè paste also on the sides and, once dry, emphasize it a little bit with darker ink / watercolors.

The last touch was to emboss my name on the bottom with a bronze powder (like the hinges and the closure of the box.

Valou - "An Advent Calendar"

Hello everybody! 

Valou here for the inspiration post today. Today I share with you an "Advent Calendar".

To realize this set, I used the file of "Snap Dragon Snippets".

All the parts are cut with the machine " Silhouette Studio ".

I used the following papers:

- White Bazzil Cardstock.
- Papers " Winter Collection " and "Spring Collection".
- Blue paper "Action".
- Cardboard of recycling.
- White Bristol.
- Cardstock chestnut.

Any goshawk, I added barriers cut with the " Silhouette Studio ". Then, in front of, I stuck dies-cuts realized with a dies " Noor!Design ", "Border Snowflakes".

Finally, I stuck of the ribbon " Organza Mahogany " and I finished with a small knot.

To the left of the house, I decided to make an extension to realize the garden.

All the bottom is covered with artificial snow in spray.

I realized an ice rink with a die-cut realized with a dies " Noor! Design ", " Round 2 ".

I realized a tree with a file of cut " Silhouette Studio Store". Above, I added a little artificial snow and diverse blue, pink and white pearly pearls to represent Christmas baubles.

I also added a wooden "Treillis" of the shop " HobbyCutz ". Above, I stuck some pearly pearls as well as some flowers: white Poinsettia, blue Poinsettia, white and red Rose ( WOC), white Rose ( WOC), blue Rose " Kaisercraft " and spangled red berries. At the foot of this "Treillis", I stuck a silvery and spangled pine cone, a cloth white rose, a red "Lily" and a spangled red berry.

Then, I added a small glass sled. Above, I stuck a red flower.

For the rest, I added a reindeer cut with "Silhouette Sutdio" and die-cuts "Fir trees".

On the ground, I stuck some white balls spangled in polyester.

I used several rubberstamps " Magnolia Ink ".

I colorized them with the following ink:

- Ink "Distress Tattered Rose" and "Distress Vintage Photo" for the skin.
- Ink "Distress Antique Linen", "Brushed Corduroy" and "Distress Walnut Stain" for hair.
- Ink "Distress Fayded Jeans".
- Ink "Distress Aged Mahogany".
- Ink "Distress Pumice Stone".
- Glitter Stickels Diamond.

On the roof, I added pieces of garland, some artificial snow and a small wooden cock.



On the window of the top, I added a knot realized with a piece of ribbon " Organza Mahogany " and decorated with a white rose (15 mm) ( WOC).

I added a small banner realized with a dies " Noor! Design " on whom I stuck "Rub-On", "Merry Christmas". I inked it to the ink "Distress Walnut Stain".

For the rest, I added various embellishments:

- Spangled and silvery pine cone.

- Spangled red embellishment.

- Wooden embellishment (received in present in a magazine).

- Plastic ax (recycling).

Valou - "Violin Box" + Tutorial

Hello everybody ! 

This morning, I come to show you a lovely Spring's card! 

A violin 3-d - Box. An elegant home decoration and very Shabby Chic

For this creation, I used some paper "Bazzil Cardstock Quartz" and the collection " Graphic45 ", " The Twelve Days of Christmas ".

Inside the violin, we find cardboard embellishments drink "Embelliscrap" whom I worked with white Gesso and white glitter "Tim Holtz".

We find also diverse paper and cloth flowers marketing of which the red flower "Prima Marketing". The small bird was bought in a store " Solderie " and the small angel in plaster is a present received by a scrappeuse friend.

  

The flower being at the top of the box is a foam flower which I wet slightly then covered with white glitter "Tim Holtz".

I used a rubberstamp rubber " Little Darlings ", "Puppy Love" whom you can find HERE. 

I colorized it in the following way: 

- Ink "Distress Tattered Rose" and "Distress Vintage Photo" for the skin. 

- Ink "Distress Antique Linen" and "Distress Walnut Stain" for hair. 

- Ink "Distress Festive Berries" for the coat. 

- Ink "Adirondack Pool" for the dress.

- Ink "Distress Pumice Stone" for the small puppy.

- Ink "Distress Walnut Stain" for the stool.

- "Glitter Stickels Diamond" for the fur of the coat.

I cut it then stuck with pieces of "Foam Tape".

On the bottom of the lid, we find also diverse foam, paper and cloth flowers. Some are covered with "Paillettes" and others are covered with " white Gesso ". We also find some cloth leaves and a white feather.

The wooden embellishments on the lid are worked in the same way as those from the inside of the violin.

  

Finally, I added some butterflies cut from a paper "Pion Design", "Vintage Garden" and a knot which I realized with the pink satin ribbon.
