es gibt ja kaum einen schöneren Anlass, um eine Karte zu schicken, als einen neuen Erdenbürger zu begrüßen. Die Avocado Familie von Krumspring ist ein super Motiv dafür! 

Den Avocado-Papa und die Avocado-Mama habe ich mit Copics ausgemalt und ausgeschnitten.

there isn't a lot of occasions for card-sending that are more exciting than to welcome a new baby and the Avocado Family from Krumspring is perfect for that!
I coloured the avocado dad and the avocado mum using my copic markers and fussy cut them.

Den Hintergrund habe ich zuerst mit Distress Oxiden und Wasser auf Aquarellpapier gematscht und an die nassen Stellen habe ich dann noch etwas Nuvo Shimmer Puder gestreut. Das ergibt einen total schönen, glitzernden Effekt. 

For the background I started with Distress Oxide inks and water on watercolour paper, then I sprinkled some Nuvo Shimmer powder onto the wet areas. This gives a sparkly look to the project.

Nachdem ich den Spruch gestempelt und aufgeklebt hatte, habe ich mich dazu entschieden, ein kleines Herz in rot aufzukleben, um das grün-in-grün der Karte etwas aufzuheben. Um es noch etwas hervorzuheben, habe ich Glossy Accents darauf aufgetragen.

After stamping and adhering the sentiment I decided to add a little red heart. To make it stand out even more, I covered it in glossy accents.

"Welcome Baby" - Tags

Hi everyone! Hallo an Alle!

Today I share with you this cute two tags to put on any baby gift to welcome the little ones.

Heute zeige ich euch diese beiden süßen Anhänger, die an jedes Willkommensgeschenk dran passen.

Just take any Tag-Die out of your stash or even just create a Tag by your own. For this ones here I used a tag-die which creates a little pouch. You can insert a giftcard for example.

Für die Anhänger kannst Du jede Stanze nehmen, die du hast oder sonst auch einfach selber eine kreieren. Für diese hier im Bild habe ich eine Stanze verwendet, die gleichzeitig eine kleine Tasche kreieren. In diese kann man z. B. eine Geschenkgutschein-Karte stecken.

For decorating I used this very cute stamp set by Marianne Design. I stamped the elephants on watercolour paper and used watercolours to give them a light grey colour. And for the ears I have used rose. For the tag with only the elephant head I stamped some of the flowers with blue distresws oxide inks. Afterwards I added the sentiments and as always some nuvo drops for th finishing touches.

Um die Anhänger zu dekorieren habe ich zwei der Elephanten aus dem süßen Stempelset von Marianne Design auf Aquarellpapier gestempelt. Mit Aquarellfarben habe ich sie in einem hellen grau ausgemalt und ein wenig rosa für die Ohren. Auf den Anhänger mit nur dem Elefantenkopf kamen noch ein paar Blumen aus dem Stempelset mit blauen Distress Oxide Stempelkissen dazu. Anschließend noch die Sprüche und zu guter letzt wie immer bei mir in letzter Zeit noch ein paar nuvo drops.

Advent with Friends Tag 5 Kerstin Baby´s first Christmas

Hallo Ihr Lieben, 

die Adventszeit ist eine ganz besondere Zeit. 

Wenn ein Baby das Licht der Welt erblickt, ist das erste 

gemeinsame Weihnachtsfest für die Familien

ein wunderbares Erlebnis, dessen Eindrücke 

in diesem "Baby´s first Christmas"-Album 

festgehalten werden können. 

Ich hoffe, Euch gefällt diese Idee. 

Vielleicht habt Ihr selbst Nachwuchs in Eurer 

Familie bekommen, so wie wir.

Reach For The Stars Baby Card

Hi everyone! I have a new baby card to share with you today in a quite CAS design. I used the adorable Little Dreamers stamp set by Wplus9.



I started by stamping all the images that I wanted to use on kraft paper with Versamark ink and then white heat emboss it. I used the matching dies to cut them out and left aside.

For the background I used a blending brush to add some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink onto a piece of white card stock. Then added splotches of water as well as white gouache to create a soft sky. I also white heat embossed some of the little stars that are included in the set.



I die cut the panel with the MFT Stitched Rectangle die and stamped the sentiment with the same Faded Jeans Distress Oxide ink.

Then I foam mounted everything onto the panel and the whole panel onto a light grey card base.

New Baby Girl Card

Hi everyone! Welcome back! Today I'm playing with a bunch of goodies to make this baby girl card.





I started by blending Picked Raspbery Distress Oxide ink through a heart stencil by Create A Smile stamps. I added a few droplets of water and dumped with a paper towel. I trimmed the panel with a stitched rectangle die and moved on to my stamping.

I stamped the big YAY from the MFT YAY For You stamp set and one of the MFT Bitty Bears with Versafine Onyx Black ink before coloring it with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. For coloring the YAY, I used my Polychromos pencils. Colors I used:

Zigs: 071-Flesh Colour, 061-Light Brown, 060-Brown
Polychromos: 101-White, 124-Rose Carmine, 125-Middle Purple Pink




To complete my sentiment, I white heat embossed two of the sentiments that are included in the YAY For You stamp set and cut them to stipes using the MFT Essential Fishtail Sentiment Strips Die-namics.

The little bear was also die cut with the coordinating die and everything was finally foam mounted onto my panel.




A few Pretty Pink Posh clear sequins were added here and there to accent and the panel was foam mounted onto a standard A2 pink card base.

Willkommen

Hallo liebe Bastefreunde, 

heute darf ich (Anja) euch wieder einen Beitrag zeigen. Gebastelt habe ich dieses Mal eine ganz schlichte Karte für den (für mich) schönsten Anlass der Welt - ein Willkommensgruß für einen neuen Erdenbürger.

Ich finde die Farbkombi Grau und Hellblau irgendwie richtig toll und habe mich deshalb für eine "Jungen"-Karte entschieden, obwohl ich ja eher nicht so der Schubladendenker bin. :D

Für das "Wie" habe ich euch wieder ein paar Fotos zusammengestellt. Ist ja dieses Mal eher schlicht, das Ganze also nicht sooooo zeitaufwendig.

Zuerst habe ich mit einer Stanze (hier könnt ihr jede beliebige nehmen) vier Rahmen für meine Karte in Hellblau gestanzt und zusammengeklebt, damit ich etwas Höhe erhalte. Dazu gesellte sich dann später noch der Luftballon auch von hellblauem Papier. Anschließend kamen das neue Stempelset mit dem süßen Esel/Zebra von Marianne Design, VersaMark-Stempelfarbe und weißes Embossingpulver auf einem grauen Kartenrohling zum Einsatz. Das Set und weitere tolle Neuheiten erhaltet ihr schon bald im Cards und More Shop.

Koloriert habe ich das Motiv jetzt mit meinen Polychromos, aber auch hier kann man ja beliebig wählen. Super Möglichkeiten sind natürlich die ZIG's, Copics, Aquarellfarbe oder was man eben gerne verwenden möchte. Dann habe ich noch den Rahmen und die Sterne befestigt und das war's auch schon.

Vielleicht habt ihr jetzt auch Lust bekommen, etwas zu kolorieren? Ich finde, das entspannt total. :)

New baby girl congratulations card | Using small images

Hello everyone and welcome back! Athena here today to share a quick and simple yet sweet card to make for a newborn baby girl. For my card I used only one stamp image (the cute bow) from the Waffle Flower Popping In stamp set.



So let's jump right into the details. I started by cutting a piece of white card stock slightly smaller than a standard A2 card. Then I got my score board and scored a few lines from top to bottom to add some interest. I really liked the look of this dry embossing technique  and I'm surely going to use it again!
I masked off a line near the bottom where I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the stamp set. In the same area I blended some Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. Sprinkled a few droplets of water with my fingers, let it oxidize for a couple of seconds and dumped with a dry paper towel before I removed the masking tape.



I continued by adding a few splotches of the same Worn Lipstick diluted with water (I used a water brush for that).
To color my image I used the Worn Lipstick Distress Marker and my Wink of Stella clear pen used as a water brush. My bow is really glittery and shiny, not easy to capture in day light, but so pretty in real life! I used the matching dies to cut the image and foam squares to attach it onto the blended area.
The whole panel was then foam mounted onto a standard A2 gray card base. As a final touch, I adhered a few sequins here and there and stamped one of the other images included in the set on a piece of white card stock adhered on the inside of my card. I used the same Distress Oxide for my stamping here.



I hope I've inspired you to use the dry embossing technique (it really adds a lot to an otherwise plain background) and give your small images a chance. There are so many of them in every single stamp set!

Hallo zusammen …

… ich freue mich sehr darüber euch heute 

ein Baby-Mini-Album zu zeigen, 

dass ich vor Kurzem machen durfte.

(Warum dies eigentlich Mini heißt, wo es doch ein richtiges 
"Big-Project" ist, ist mir schleierhaft.)

Die Idee für jeden Monat des 1. Lebensjahres eine Seite zu widmen habe ich beim Stöbern vor gut 2 Jahren im Internet entdeckt und fand das so nett, dass Frau dies natürlich ausprobieren musste.

Hier seht ihr die Bindung bevor 
ich die Seiten eingeklebt habe.

Den Namen sowie diverse Kleinteile wurden mit dem Schneideplotter "Cameo" geschnitten. Ich habe mir hierfür zum Designpapier passend die Cut-files runtergeladen, somit hatte ich die Möglichkeit es in verschiedenen Größen/Farben/Designs zu gestalten. Auch wurde u.a. mit Produkten von Lawn Fawn und MFT gestempelt und gestanzt. 

Die Laschen am Rand sind für "Highlights" vorgesehen - welche mit einem Magnet schließen. Die Seiten mit der Bordüre kann man herausziehen und stehen ebenfalls z.B. für Fotos zur Verfügung.

Und hier eine "Mini-Bilderflut" 😊

Dieses "MINI-BIG-Project" zu werkeln hat mir sehr viel Freude bereitet 

und ich hoffe doch sehr, dass es euch und irgendwann mal "Magdalena" gefällt.
