Hippo bird-day

Hi there,
It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and this is my last post as a DT member for Cards und more shop. I had a lot of fun this last few months, but unfortunately it's time for me to say goodbye to this team.

This is the card I created for today:

I love ink blending and I decided to make a whole background covered in ink. I used two colors of distress ink - Evergreen bough and Stormy sky.

I just couldn't resist using Happy hippos on this card, so I colored three hippos and three birds and put them on the ink blended panel.

In the end, I just glued everything on the card base, stamped the sentiment and card was all finished. :)

Feel better - Step by step tutorail

It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and today I have a 'step by step' card tutorital for you! :)

First, lets take a look at a card we will make:

I decided to go with a 'feel better' card since I have few friends that are feeling under the weather this last few days. :)

First, I took my watercolor paper and stamped the flowers and 'feel better soon' with black ink. Stamps I used in this step can be found in waffle flower set called Bear and bird.

The bear from the Stay cool set seemed perfect to be put on top of the flowers, as he was laying on there. I stamped him with the same black ink.

I didn't want my bear to wear swimsuit, so I just took a black pen and draw some lines, so it looks like he is also wearing a shirt. I colored everything with ZIGs watercolor markes.

The only thing left to do was to trim down a black piece of card stock and put it behind my watercolored panel.

I glued everything on my card base and the card was all finnished! :)

Today I have a super cute card prepared for you! :)

The card is really easy to make. First, I stamped out my images on watercolor paper and then colored the hippo and birds with zig real brush markers. I wanted to keep the card clean and simple, so I just added a stitching detail at the middle of my white panel and embossed the adorable sentiment in white on black card stock.

I poped up the white panel with some foam tape so it has some more interest. Next, I added some patterned paper at the bottom that matches the colors I used for balloons. I glued the chicks directly on the white and then I poped the hippo up with some more foam tape.

 The card was all finnished! :)

It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and I have two cute cards for you! :)

Take a look:

I needed some new born cards and when working on those I like to make a boy and girl version. 

I made two frames for each card. First, I cut a rectangle with my paper trimmer and next, I die-cutted the square in the middle. The background with clouds was made using distress oxide in Broken china.

The stamps I used are from Jane's doodles Special delivery set. For both cards I used the same images, I only changed the colors.

The last thing was to add some patterned paper in the background and the cards were all finnished! :)

I used a shaded lilac distress ink to make my background and then I colored in the hot air balloon with ZIG watercolor markers. I felt that I needed something extra, so I have added a white frame and some silver embellishments. :)

Birthday critters

It's Kaja from Kajcyika crafts and I am really happy to show you a card I have created for you today! :)

I made a cute birthday card that is perfect for kids! :)

I wanted to make a playful card with unusual color combination. First, I colored the critters and I banners. Next, I decided that I want to have a peachy background so I added the patterned paper behind them. It seemed a bit boring so I added the white frame. In the end I decided that I needed an extra pop in the backround so I used the same color as I used for banners to make my blue background. I used a white gel to finnish it off.

This card is quite outside my comfort zone, but sometimes we just have to push ourselves and great things will happen. :)
