Little Duck...

...so nenne ich meine heutige Karte und damit herzlich willkommen zum neuen DT Beitrag für den Cards und More Shop Blog.

Das süße Entlein ist aus dem Stempelset Buddy & Duck von Penny Black. Auch der Spruch ist gleich mit dabei. Einfach perfekt für Geburtstagskarten.

Zunächst habe ich mir auf Water Art Aquarellpapier von Kippers Hobby einen Hintergrund mit Distress Oxide gestaltet. Dafür werden die Stempelkissen auf die Unterlage abgedrückt und mit Wasser besprüht. Anschließend wird das Papier einfach auf die Farbe gelegt und angedrückt. 

 
Meinen kraftfarbenen Kartenrohling von Joy! Crafts habe ich mit Kreisen bestempelt, damit der Hintergrund nicht so trist wirkt.

Das Entlein habe ich ganz klassisch mit Copic Markern coloriert.

Am Ende hat es tatsächlich etwas gedauert, bis ich beim "Komponieren" der Karte zufrieden war.

Ich hoffe ich konnte auch diesmal ein wenig Inspiration da lassen und wünsche viel Spaß beim Kreativ sein!

Owl love you

Owl love you

As some of you know I have a thing with owls. Actually I got real owls.  They called in English, Little owls, in German, Steinkautz and in Dutch, Steenuilen ( Athena Noctua) add me on FB and you will find some pictures and movies of them.
So, that just said, I started to make a fun card.

The materials I used you will find below. Really funny, this is totally not my style, I thought. But I am making alot of these kind of cards. And I love it!

So I really needed to make something with an owl. I got an oldie goldie die from Joy! crafts.  And made a slider card from a awsome tutorial from "byMarleen" it's in Dutch but you will find a lot of tutorials on Pinterest and Youtube. when you search for "slider card".

I've use white cardstock and kraftpaper and some fitting design paper from DoCrafts with birds on it.
The text I made myself with the Silhouet Cameo.

I made a short video. Than you will see how it works. It's really fun for childeren and adults.

Weihnachtliche Faltkarte Pinguinparade

Hallo Ihr Lieben,

am 10. ist die neue monatliche Challenge 

bei Cards-und-More.de 

mit dem neuen süßen Thema Pinguin gestartet. 

Auf unserem Blog Cards-und-More 

findet Ihr noch weiterer 

ganz tolle und witzige Inspirationen. 

Macht mit, es lohnt sich. 

Es gibt wieder etwas schönes zu gewinnen 

ein Stempelset und eine Pinguin Stanze. 

Dieses mal dürft ihr euch kreativ austoben und

 in dieser "Anything Goes" Challenge 

kreieren, was ihr möchtet.

Da wir uns im Dezember befinden und 

der Schnee bereits gekommen ist, 

müsst ihr mindestens einen Pinguin verwenden.

Hier ist meine Inspiration zur Challenge, 

eine weihnachtliche Faltkarte zum Thema Pinguin:

'PINGUINPARADE'

Den genialen Stempel von 

Creative Expressions - Woodware Clear Stamps Set XMas -

 Penguin Parade 

habe ich mit Memento Stempelkissen TUXEDO BLACK 

gestempelt und mit den 

ZIG CLEAN COLOR REAL BRUSH ausgemalt.

Auf einen roten Cardstock 4 x 12 inch geklebt und 

immer nach 4 inch gefalzt. 

So entsteht die Faltkarte mit der lustigen Pinguinbande. 

Die Bäuche der Pinguine haben noch 

mit dem ZIG Wink of Stella Brush Clear 

einen Glitzereffekt erhalten.

Auf dem 1. Drittel der Faltkarte habe ich 

verschiedene Sterne mit Abstandspads aufgeklebt, 

diese habe ich mit der BigShot ausgestanzt.

Der Spruch 'Have a holly jolle Christmas' 

stammt von dem tollen Stempelset 

Creative Expressions - Woodware Clear Stamps Set XMas - 

Penguin Gift.

Schon war die Karte fertig, 

nur noch ein passender Umschlag musste her. 

Deshalb habe ich mit einem 

Envelope Maker und einem schönen Designpapier

 kurzerhand ein Umschlag erstellt.

Vielleicht konnte ich Euch inspirieren und

 Ihr sendet uns Eure Kreation mit einem Pinguin.

Color Burst Coloring Card

Hello, friends! 

It's Nancy here with a new project made with products from the Cards and More Shop.

I had so much fun making this pretty card!
This is my very first time using Ken Oliver Color Burst!
I LOVE them! :o)

I do not have any process photos to share with you.
 I didn't know that my first time using these would turn out so well! lol 
At least, I think it turned out well...I hope you do too! 
I was just having a practice!
It's such a fabulous product...no practice necessary! :o)

Here's my card:

I began with a piece of water media paper.

I heat embossed this beautiful image with white embossing powder.

Then I misted the paper with water. 

I sprinkled just a little bit of the Ken Oliver Color Burst Powders onto my mat,

and added water to them.

Then I used a watercolour brush to paint my card.

It was as simple as that!

I dried it with my heat tool after each colour so that they would not mix.

I added more colour where I wanted it to be darker.

Here's a closer look:

Here you can see the shimmer of the white embossing:

When it was all dry, I trimmed it out, and distressed the edges.

I created a card base with white cardstock, 

and matted it with the pretty pink wood paper wrapped with a sparkly ribbon.

I distressed all the edges.

Finally, I added the painted piece using foam tape.

One last look at the finished card:
