Happy New Year

Hallo zusammen!
Hi y'all!

Kaum ist Weihnachten vorüber, da geht es schon mit Riesenschritten auf Silvester zu. Ich habe deshalb heute für Euch eine kleine Verpackung für Wunderkerzen - ich finde, das ist ein schönes kleines Mitbringsel zu einer Silvester-Party oder auch ein nettes kleines Geschenk für nette Menschen.
Only a few days left in this year, I just can't believe how time flies! Today I'll show you a little packaging for sparklers - this could be a nice gift if you're invited to some New Year's Party or for nice people in your life.

 Für diese Verpackung habe ich zunächst einmal die witzigen Motive aus dem Joy! Crafts Pigs Stempelset mit Memento Tuxedo Black auf weißen Karton gestempelt, mit meinem Copic Markern coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
I started with stamping the fun images of the Joy! Crafts Pigs set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers and cut them out.

Als nächstes habe ich einen Streifen grünen Karton mit den Maßen 27,5 x 6,5 cm ausgeschnitten und bei 18 cm und 23,8 cm mit Hilfe des Scoring Boards gefalzt. Ein weißer Streifen Karton muss auf 19,3 x 6 cm zugeschnnitten und bei 12, 13 und 14 cm gefalzt werden. Den oberen Teil des weißen Streifens habe ich dann mit Versamark bestempelt und gold embosst. weil ich keinen Feuerwerk-Stempel hatte, habe ich das Penny Black Happy Bliss Set verwendet  - die Blumen gehen als Feuerwerk durch, wenn man die Vögel und die Blumenstiele vor dem Stempeln abdeckt...
Then I cut a 27.5 cm long and 6.5 cm wide stripe from green cardstock, scored and folded it at 18 cm and at 23.8 cm with the Scoring Board. A 19.3 cm long and 6 cm wide stripe of white cardstock is cut and then scored and folded at 12 cm, 13 cm and 14 cm. As I don't have a fireworks stamp, I stamped the flowers of the Penny Black Happy Bliss stamp set with Versamark ink and heat-embossed it with golden embossing powder. Before stamping the image, I covered the birds and the flower stems so that I achieved a look like fireworks.

Die Falte in dem weißen Kartonstreifen wird dann zusammengeklebt, so dass sie wie ein kleines Bänkchen hervorsteht. Hier hinein piekt man dann drei Löcher für die Wunderkerzen. Das geht prima mit dem Joy! Crafts Hole Puncher. Hier seht Ihr nochmal, wie die Faltungen aussehen müssen:
Then I glued the folded part of the white stripe together so that t stands out from the cardstock. I punched three holes with the Joy! Crafts Hole Puncher into it to hold the sparklers. On this picture you can see how the folded pieces should look like right now:

Jetzt den weißen Karton auf den grünen kleben und die Wunderkerzen in die Löcher stecken. Damit sie schön in Position bleiben, habe ich sie mit etwas Washi Tape fixiert.
Now glue the white cardstock onto the green and put the sparklers through the holes. I used some washi tape to keep them neatly in place.

 Jetzt klappt man den grünen Karton hoch und klebt ihn seitlich auf dem weißen fest. Die äußere Klappe wird auch noch festgeklebt, und dann geht's ans Dekorieren. Ich habe aus goldenem Glitzerkarton einen Streifen und die Zahlen 2018 gestanzt und aufgeklebt, außerdem natürlich die beiden gestempelten Schweinchen. Ein kleiner Neujahrswunsch dazu, fertig.
Now you fold up the green cardstock and glue the edges onto the white cardstock. The outer flap is then glued down, too, and now it is the moment to decorate it. I cut out a stripe from golden glitter cardstock and die-cut the numbers 2018 to add to the pigs I had prepared earlier. Just added a little sentiment, done.

 Noch ein paar Tipps: Die Maße müsst Ihr an die Länge eurer Wunderkerzen anpassen, nicht alle sind gleich lang. Benutzt richtig gut haftenden Kleber, damit die Klebestellen auch wirklich gut halten. Und die äußere Klappe, die ich festgeklebt habe, kann man auch offenlassen und darunter eine kleine Botschaft verstecken.
 A few more tips: Make sure you adjust the measures to the sparklers you use - not all have the same length. Use a really high-tack glue. And the outer flap that I glued down could be left open for a hidden message, if you want to.

jetzt sind wir schon im Advent - nun aber los mit den Weihnachtsvorbereitungen! Ich habe heute ein paar verschneite Tags als Anregung für Euch, mit denen Eure Geschenke garantiert ein Hingucker werden!
it is already advent - so time to get ready with the christmas presents! I've got some snowy tags for you today that will help to make your presents real eye-catchers!

Zunächst habe ich aus hellblauem Karton mit der My Favorite Things Die-Namics Cross Stitch Tag Stanze die Tags ausgestanzt. Dann habe ich Motive aus dem Creative Expressions Festive Friends Stempelset mit Memento Tuxedo Black auf weißen Karton gestempelt, mit Copic Markern coloriert, einzelne Details mit einem weißen Sharpie Stift hinzugefügt und ausgeschnitten. Auf die Tags habe ich dann noch verschiedene kleine Sprüche gestempelt, z.B. aus der Vildastamps Stempelplatte Weihnachten.

I started by die-cutting the tags with the My Favorite Things Die-Namics Cross Stitch Tag from light blue cardstock. Then I stamped images of the Creative Expressions Festive Friends stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white card-stock, colored them with Copic markers, added details with a white Sharpie pen and fussy-cut them. I then added some sentiments onto the tags, e.g. from the Vildastamps Stempelplatte Weihnachten.

Dann habe ich auf billigen Prospekthüllen (die teuren lassen sich meist nicht so gut verschweißen) die Form der Tags mit dem My Memory Keepers Fuse Tool nachgezeichnet. Dabei ist es ganz wichtig, dass man eine Seite offen lässt, um die Beutelchen noch füllen zu können.
Then I fused cheap plastic pockets (the more expensive often don't fuse that well) using a tag as a stencil with my My Memory Keepers Fuse Tool. Don't forget to leave one side open to be able to fill the pockets later!

Ich habe dann die Klarsicht-Tags mit Pailletten, Sternen-Konfetti und Deko-Schnee gefüllt. Danach wird jedes Tag mit dem Fuse Tool mittels einer horizontalen Naht an der oberen Kante entlang und einer weiteren etwas tiefer verschlossen. In den dadurch entstehenden oberen Abschnitt zwickt man dann mit der Crop-a-dile ein Loch.
I then filled the tags with sequins, star confetti and snow powder. Then I closed the tag byfusing a horizontal line below the top and another one along the top border. Into the section between the two horizontal fusion lines I poked a hole with the Crop-a-dile.

Jetzt müssen die gefüllten Beutelchen nur noch mit den Cardstock-Tags mit etwas Bäckerei-Garn zusammengeknotet werden.
Now the clear pouches can be tied onto the cardstock tags with some bakers' twine.

Santa's Train

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
Hi you all,

gar nicht mehr lange bis Weihnachten, und der Weihnachtsmann hat sich schon mal in den Zug gesetzt - man weiß ja nie, wieviel Verspätung die Bahn hat ;-)
Christmas is coming soon, and Santa has already boarded the train - you never know how much delay there will be ;-)

Ich wollte einen wirklich langen Zug bauen, deswegen habe ich mich für eine Karte mit ungewöhnlichem Format entschieden und einen Streifen von Kraft Cardstock auf 10x30 cm geschnitten und die breite Seite bei 10 und 20 cm gefalzt, so dass eine Art Leporello-Karte entstanden ist.
I wanted to create a really long train, so I decided to go with an unusual card size. I cut a 10 by 30 cm stripe of kraft cardstock and scored it at 10 and 20 cm.

Dann habe ich weißen JoyCrafts Glitzerkarton mit den My Favorite Things Stitched Snow Drifts Die-Namics ausgestanzt und weiße Dylusions Acrylfarbe auf den Cardstock gespritzt - es sollte nach dichtem Schneetreiben aussehen.
I then die-cut some white JoyCrafts glitter cardstock with the My Favorite Things Stitched Snow Drifts Die-Namics and splattered white Dylusions acrylic paint onto the cardstock to get the look of snow.

Die Motive aus dem Stempelset Special Delivery von Creative Expressions habe ich mit Memento Tuxedo Black auf weißen Cardstock gestempelt, mit Copic Markern coloriert und ausgeschnitten.
I stamped the images of the Special Delivery stamp set by Creative Expressions with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock, colored them with Copic markers and cut them out.

Dann habe ich die einzelnen Wagen hintereinander aufgeklebt.
Finally I glued the wagons in a row.

So, und jetzt Vorsicht am Bahnsteig - der Zug fährt ab! ;-)
And now pay attention at the platform, the train is going to leave! ;-)

Polar Christmas

Hallo Ihr Lieben,
Hello crafty friends,

noch 41 Tage bis Weihnachten! Geht es Euch genauso, dass Ihr langsam hektisch werdet, weil noch soooo viele Weihnachtskarten gebastelt werden müssen? Dagegen wirkt doch diese kleine Truppe von Polar-Viechern vor ihrem Iglu sehr entspannt...

41 days till Christmas! Okay, 42 for those who celebrate on Dec 25th and not 24th like wie do here in Germany... Do you get as hectic as I do when thinking of all the Christmas cards that still have to be created till then? In contrast, these little polar guys look rather relaxed...

Ich habe diese kleine Szene mit dem My Favorite Things Polar Pals Set entworfen. Ich liebe dieses Set, besonders die Seehunde darin, und ich hatte die Idee, dass alle Polartiere zusammen Weihnachten feiern sollten. Also habe ich zuerst den Eisbären, einen Pinguin und einen Seehund mit Memento Tuxedo Black auf weißen Karton gestempelt. Ich habe dann diese Motive mit Post-Its maskiert und den zweiten Pinguin, Seehund und das Iglu darübergestempelt. Das habe ich dann auch wieder maskiert und schließlich die Bäume gestempelt.

I created this little scene with the My Favorite Things Polar Pals stamp set. I love this set and had the idea that all the Polar animals should celebrate Christmas together. So I stamped the ice bear, one of the penguins and one seal first with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto white cardstock. Then I created masks for these images and stamped the second penguin, seal and igloo. Again some masking, then I added the trees. 

Mit meinen Copic Markern habe ich dann alles coloriert - ja, auch der Hintergrund ist einfach nur mit Copic Markern gemalt.
I colored everything with my Copic markers - yes, the background is created with Copic markers as well.

Ein paar Details habe ich mit einem weißen Sharpie Stift hinzugefügt.
Some details were added with a white Sharpie pen.

Und auf die Nasen habe ich dann noch schwarze Ranger Enamel Accents gemacht, damit die auch schön feucht glänzen.
I added black Ranger Enamel Accents onto the noses to make them look glossy and wet.

Der Spruch stammt aus dem Stempelset Festive Friends von Creative Expressions. Ich habe ihn mit weißem Embossingpulver embosst. Die Schneeflocken sind winzige Tröpfchen von Nuvo Crystal Drops gloss white.
The sentiment is from the Creative Expressions Festive Friends stamp set. I embossed it with white embossing powder. The snow flakes are tiny bits of Nuvo Crystal Drops gloss white.
