3 Flamingos

Hallo ihr Lieben, heute wirds rosa! :D 

Für meinen Beitrag heute habe ich mir zwei Farben Distress Oxide und das Stempelset Flamingo Together von Lawn Fawn geschnappt und möchte euch zeigen, wie man damit drei recht unterschiedliche Karten gestalten kann.

In today's post I want to show you how to create three quite different looking cards using Distress Oxide inks in two shades of pink and the stamp set Flamingo Together from Lawn Fawn.

Für die erste Karte habe ich die Flamingos mit Zig Markern ausgemalt und die passenden Stanzen durch meine Big Shot gekurbelt. Natürlich kann man auch zur Schere greifen, aber für diese zarten Füßchen hab ich mir dieses Mal die Stanzen gegönnt.

Für das zweite Flamingopaar habe ich Alkoholmarker verwendet, den direkten Vergleich seht ihr hier im Bild (oben Copics, unten Zigs):

For the first card I coloured two flamingos using my Zigs and die cut them using the coordinating dies. Of course you could also fussy cut them but because of their thin legs I used the dies this time. 

For the second flamingo pair I used alcohol markers, you can see the comparison in the picture below (Copics are above, Zigs below):

 

Für den ersten Hintergrund habe ich eine meiner Lieblingstechniken verwendet und etwas Farbe aus den beiden Distress Oxid Kissen einfach auf einen Acrylblock geschmiert, mit Wasser bespritzt und den Block auf einem Stück Aquarellpapier herumgezogen, bis mir das Ergebnis gefallen hat.

For the background of the first card I used one of my favourite techniques. I put a bit of both pinks on an acrylic block, spritzed it with water and dragged the block over a piece of watercolour paper until I was happy with how it looked. 

Ein kleiner Streifen schwarzer Cardstock, weißes Embossingpulver und etwas Abstandklebeband, schon ist Karte Nummer eins fertig! 

All it took now was a small strip of black card stock, white embossing powder and some foam tape and that's card number one done!

Für die zweite Karte habe ich einige der kleineren Motive aus dem Stempelset in weiß auf Aquarellpapier embosst und die Distress Oxide darauf wie Wasserfarben verwendet. Dazu habe ich mir die Farben wieder auf einem Acrylblock verteilt und von dort mit einem Wassertankpinsel aufgenommen. 

For the second card I used some of the smaller images from the stamp set and heat embossed them in white on watercolour paper.  On top of those embossed images I used the distress oxide inks as if they were watercolours. To achieve this, I put some distress oxide ink down on an acrylic block and used a watercolour brush to apply the colour to my paper.

 Einen Teil des Spruchs habe ich direkt auf den Kartenaufleger gestempelt und das Wort 'flamin-go' mit pinkem Embossingpulver auf Transparentpapier embosst.

Hier kamen dann die Copic-Flamingos zum Einsatz, die habe ich wie das Transparentpapier mit Klebepads aufgeklebt.

Den Aufleger habe ich schließlich auf die Karte geklebt und fertig ist Karte Nummer zwei!

I stamped part of my sentiment directly onto the background and used pink embossing powder for the word 'flamin-go' on vellum.
I then adhered that on my piece of paper with foam pads, along with the Copic flamingos.

I finally glued the background onto my card and we're done with number two!

Für die dritte und schlichteste Karte habe ich mir zuerst aus Etikettenpapier eine Maske für meinen Flamingo ausgeschnitten.

Anschließend habe ich auf meinem Kartenrohling mit Washi Tape einen Bereich abgeklebt, dort den Flamingo gestempelt und ihn mit der Maske geschützt.

Dann habe ich dem Bereich Farbe verliehen, indem ich meine Pinktöne aufgetragen und verblendet habe. Ein paar Spritzer Wasser lockern das Ganze noch etwas auf. 

For the third and simplest card I first created a mask for my flamingo by stamping it on and cutting it from masking paper. 

I then used washi tape to mask some of the card and protect it from the ink I was going to use later. Inside this area I stamped the flamingo and put on the mask. 

I put my two colours down with a blending tool. When I was happy with the blending I spritzed on some water to give it a bit more interest.

Nachdem ich das Washi Tape entfernt habe, fehlte nur noch der Spruch und fertig ist Karte Nummer drei! 

After taking off the washi tape all that's left to do was stamp a sentiment and there we have card number three!
