Die fröhliche Geburtstagskarte für "Ach, lieber wäre es mir, nix reinzuschreiben" - mit Heffy Doodle's "You Go Gull!" Stempeln

 

Ich erstelle ja sehr gerne Karten für Freunde und Kollegen. Und dann kommen immer mal wieder besondere Wünsche. 

Diesmal zeige ich euch mal, wie ich so eine Multi-Wünsche Karte realisiert habe. 

I really like to handmake greeting cards for friends and co-workers. Over thime they got  used to come to me with special wishes.

Der Wunsch / The orders:

Meer! - Na, gerne doch. Da gehören für mich einfach mal Möwen dazu. Also: Möwen. Ich habe bestimmt schon das eine oder andere mal erwähnt, wie süss ich diese Heffy Doodle Möwen finde. Kann man aber gar nicht oft genug sagen!

The ocean! - My pleasure. For me, ocean and seagulls are inseparable. So: Gulls it will be. Guess, I might have mentioned in the past how much I adore these cuties from Heffy Doodle. But I don't mind repeating myself!

Strandstimmung und der Name des Geburtstagsmädchens - das ist doch meine leichteste Übung

Beach feeling and the name of the birthday girl - nothing that would really cause me any troubles...

Ich habe die Hintergründe für alle meine vier Kartenseiten mit Distress Oxide Inks gewischt, ein paar ältere Schablonen für das Meer und den Strand verwendet und ansonsten einfach per Hand verblendet. 

I used Distress Oxide Inks to create all four card background pages, used a few stencils from my stash for the beach line and the waves and just inkblended my heart out. 

Und dann noch der spezielle Wunsch: "Ach, viel schreiben mag ich nicht". Auch das kriegen wir hin, ich stempel einfach das Wichtigste direkt in die Karte und lasse gar keinen Platz für mehr. Den Namen der Schenkerin kann sie ja immernoch in den Sand schreiben ....

And then there was the special order "Well, I don't want to write so much in the card" - you ask, I do... In this case I stamped all the important words directly on the card and don't even leave space that requires writing a novel. And, if she wants, the giver can still write her name in the sand...

Und weil die Kollegin, die diese Karte wollte, eine ganz besonders liebe Kollegin ist, habe ich eine ganz besondere Kartenform gewählt, eine "Pinwheel" Karte, man kann die immer weiter und weiter klappen und auf allen Seiten gibt es ein Motiv. Da gibt es keine "Rückseite", nur Schokoladenseiten... Aber das erzählen wir den Möwen besser nicht...

And because the colleague who asked me for this card, is a very special and dear colleague, I chose a very special card style for her: a "pinwheel" card. It can be turned and turned and there is images on every side. No backside, just the best... In German we call this "chocolate side". But let's better not tell that to the gulls...

 

Natürlich hört das "Mitdenken" da noch nicht auf. In einen handelsüblichen Briefumschlag passt die Karte auch noch hinein. Logisch, da ich sie von einzelnen Papieren selbst zusammengestellt habe, habe ich sie einfach passend gemacht...

Of course, "thinking further" didn't stop here. The card should also fit a standard sized postal envelope. Sure! I made the card completely from the cardstock scratch, I just made it fit...

Meine Kollegin hat sich jedenfalls über diese Karte sehr gefreut, und das freute mich.

My colleague was very happy about this card. And what makes her happy, makes me happy.
