Schade drum? Naja, schon, aber noch muss er ja nicht weg...

What a waste? No need to bin it, yet...
Die Ausgangsbasis / What we get started with
Diesen tollen Blumenkalender hatte ich mir Ende 2019 gekauft. Aus irgendeinem Grund hing der 2020 nicht an der Wand, sondern lag rum. Und dieses Jahr wollte ich endlich etwas damit machen.
I had bought his beautiful flowery calendar end of 2019. For a reason almost unknown, I didn't hang it on the wall in 2020 but let it get sour in a drawer. This year I decided to do something about it.

Ich habe mir überlegt, ein (oder wahrscheinlich noch etliche weitere) Notizbuch daraus zu machen.
Ganz einfache Sache mit der We R Memory Keepers Mini Cinch!
I decided to make a notebook with these images (or, likely, a bunch of them). What an easy thing to do with the help of the We R Memory Keepers Mini Cinch!
Mini Cinch... Was ist das und warum Mini? / What is this and why a mini?
Die Mini Cinch ist eine supereinfach zu bedienende Bindemaschine. Ihr braucht nur, was ihr hier auf dem Bild seht: Papier, eine Bindespirale und die Maschine. Die gibts übrigens in groß und in klein. Ich habe mich aus Platzgründen für die Kleine, also die Mini entschieden. Passt einfach in eine Schublade, ist verstaut und aus den Augen, und mit einem Handgriff wieder aufgebaut.
The Mini Cinch is a binding machine, which is supereasy to use. What you see on the picture is all you need: some paper, a binder spiral and the machine. This machine exists in large and in mini. Simply for storage space reasons I decided to go with the mini version. It fits in a drawer, is put away out of sight in seconds and with the flip of a hand taken out ready to be used.
Was tut man? What to do?
Die Bedienung ist so einfach, ich hab doch glatt in den paar Minuten keine Fotos gemacht (ich verspreche, mich zu bessern, wenn ihr doch eine Fotodoku davon haben wollt, schreibt uns, dann erstelle ich das an einem anderen Beispiel nochmal)
Alles was man tut ist:
- Deckblatt und Rückseite aus den Kalendermotiven auswählen
- Papier aus dem Vorrat auf die Wunschgröße zurechtschneiden
- alles in der Cinch lochen (seht ihr die Skala zum Anlegen? Ja, genau so einfach...)
- die gelochten Papiere in die Spirale einfädeln und das Ganze in der Cinch zusammenzubiegen (tatsächlich so einfach!)
Am längsten hat hierbei gedauert, dass ich meine Front- und Rückseiten aus den Kalendermotiven laminiert habe, und das Laminiergerät musste aufwärmen.
The process is very simple. So simple, I actually forgot to take pictures in these few minutes it took me (I promise, I will be better next time. And in case you need to see a step by step tutorial of how to make is, write us and I will make another notebook).
All you need to do is:
- choose front and back cover from the calendar motifs
- cut some paper from your stash to fit between these cover pages
- punch holes into all these with the cinch (do you see the scale for alignment? Yes, this simple...)
- thread the punched papers into the binding spiral and bend it all together using the Cinch (Yes, THIS simple...)
Wanna know what took the most time? I had decided to laminate my front and back covers to make them more sturdy. And heating up the laminator took the longest in the whole process...
Schon fertig? Schon fertig! / Is that it? Yes, that's it!
Und weil das SO schnell ging, habe ich mir einen Llama-Postkartenkalender genommen, die Monate unten abgeschnitten, und dasselbe nochmal gemacht. Hier seht ihr Vorder- und Rückseite, ebenfalls laminiert und die Löcher ließen sich stanzen wie Butter...
Warum Llamas? Na, weil Llamas halt...
And because this was done in SO few time, I grabbed an old Llama postcard calendar, cut off the months on the bottom and did the same exercise again. Here you can see the front and backcover, both laminated again. And punching the holes, was easy peasy.
Why Llamas? Well, because... Llamas...
Hier also das Endergebnis / So here is the final result:
Zwei ausgediente Kalender wurden zu Notizbüchern. Zum Verschenken, Selbstbehalten, Verkaufen oder Vererben. Einfach nur toll und schnell gemacht. Und die schönen Kalendermotive erleben einen zweiten Frühling.

- Ein alter Kalender (oder auch ein Neuer, oder irgendwelche anderen schönen Motive) / an old calendar ( or a new one, or any other beautiful images you always wanted to use)
- Weißes, Kariertes oder buntes Papier aus eurem Vorrat / white, graph or colored paper from your stash
- We R Memory Keepers Mini Cinch
- Bindespiralen / Binding spirals
