Hi crafters! For today's card I decided to work on an idea I had for some time now: Whales travelling under the August full moon! And here it is!
I started by colouring a couple of whales from the MFT Ocean Pals stamp set with my copics. I used B00-B02-B05.
Then I die cut three pieces of card stock using the MFT Ocean Waves dies. I coloured it with Peacock Feathers Distress Ink and sprinkled some water over it.
I stamped the sentiment on one of the pieces.
Then I started working on another piece of white card stock to create the night sky. I die cut a circle out of masking paper that I placed on top of my card stock and I used Distress inks to colour the sky. From the moon out I used Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot.
With a watercolour brush I added drops of white gesso to create the stars before removing the mask.
To colour the moon I first added a bit of clean water and then some Mustard Seeds and Wild Honey Distress Inks with my watercolour brush.
I used foam squares to put my pieces in place and a few clear sequins to accent.
